In addition, all Juniors and parents are invited to attend an Academic and Career Planning presentation during parent/teacher conferences during the fall semester. You will also have the opportunity to meet individually with your counselor Junior year to explore options specific to you, and provide guidance through the college planning and/or career search process.

SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES FOR JUNIORS
Horatio Alger Association Junior Scholarship:
$10,000-25,000 scholarships
Only juniors can apply. Must show critical financial need ($55,000 or less adjusted gross family income). Must be a US Citizen

QUESTBRIDGE:
This is a program that helps high-achieving, low- income students qualify for scholarships with numerous colleges throughout the country. Read more about this program at the QuestBridge Website. Applications are due early fall of Senior year.
TESTING INFORMATION
ACT PRACTICE TEST: 10th and 11th graders will take the ACT Practice test on October 17th.
ACT TEST: All Juniors will take at ACT at NRHS on March 12th.
PSAT is an optional test for 10th and 11th graders. This test is on October 24th.
ASVAB: The ASVAB is a the Armed Services Aptitude Battery. Students interested in joining the military will need to take this. This is a great career exploration tool for ALL students. Students will be matched with occupations based on their aptitude and interests. All Juniors will be given the opportunity to take the ASVAB on December 5th. Interested students should sign up with their school counselor.
